Forest Music

Hugh explores the German concept of waldeinsamkeit, the loneliness of the forest, in this mostly oak grove in Occidental, West Sonoma County. Starting in fall 2011 and continuing for one year, Hugh will create audio and sculptural interventions in the landscape, hiking out there with his cello and playing, while shooting timelapse, aerial and many other types of photography.
